Pelago
Pelago is part of the province of Florence and thanks to its geographical location, has been inhabited since prehistoric times and was also inhabited by populations Etruscan and Roman then. In medieval times the morphology of the land was a natural and appropriate development of towers, castles, villas and farmhouses. The historic centre of Pelago stands around the castle of Guidi. Subsequently, the location was the territory of clashes between the Guelphs and Ghibellines.
